Schirmer/Mosel Publishers, founded in 1974 by Lothar Schirmer and Erik Mosel and based in Munich, is one of the world’s leading publishers of photography and art books. The company has been instrumental in establishing photography as an art form equal to the traditional genres of painting, drawing, and sculpture. The list of artists and authors published and supported is long and reads like a Who is Who of contemporary arts.
